Is the sky falling?
The sky is falling, the sky is falling…..Okay maybe not the sky but check out a few of the pictures of the tree that landed on our roof as a result of the May Day Storm, 2017. This picture shows where the tree limb was cracked and eventually, the limb, about 20 ft long, ends up resting on another limb on our roof.
Shows a littler more detail of the limb on the roof. This storm was brief but caused a lot of wind damage and flooding from the downpour that came with it. How did this storm affect you? Do you live the Huntingdon, Pa area? Fill out the reply section to let me know how things are in your area.
You can see where the whole limb is split and literally hanging on by a piece of bark. This old tree has seen better days.
I witnessed the rubber roof mat blow completely off and hanging down over the building. The top 2 floors were covered with this rubber roofing mat. I’ve never seen anything like that before. I was going to put the new Weber Gas Grill out for the summer. So glad I didn’t because another limb fell in the same spot as where the grill was going to go.
The storm probably won’t be listed as an “official” tornado, but looking around this section of Huntingdon, it’s a good thing it wasn’t a tornado.
